Suzanne Tavani is the Principal in Tavani Strategic Communications, where she focuses on providing organizations with strategic communications counseling, organizational development, message development, executive outreach, and media training. She has also served as the Interim Vice President, Marketing and Communications for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She is a contributor on the topic of Issues and Crisis Management, to the 4th edition of Designing Brand Management by Alina Wheeler.
Her career is marked by numerous examples of being able to think strategically and execute tactically. She has provided strategic communications and investor relations counsel to companies across a variety of industries. Suzanne has lead strategic communications efforts for the Glenmede Trust Company, Berwind, SunGard, the Autism Policy Reform Coalition (APRC), the Philadelphia International Airport, Commerce Bank, Villanova University, and Widener University. These career experiences demonstrate her ability to initiate change and manage expectations and results in rapidly changing environments. She also has significant experience in dealing with C-level executives.
Suzanne honed her marketing and public relations skills at Philadelphia’s KYW Newsradio 1060, one of the nation’s premier all news stations, where she led marketing and public affairs activities.
A graduate of Villanova University, Suzanne is a life-long resident of Philadelphia. She has been actively involved in a number of non-profit organizations including the Maternity Care Coalition, and the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of PathWays PA, serves as Co-Chair of the Marketing Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee.
